Martha Varney is an advocacy, communications, and campaigns specialist with substantial experience in leading, planning, and executing high-profile events, and providing strategic counsel to leaders. She served as a Special Adviser to former Prime Minister, David Cameron, and former Minister for Government Policy, Oliver Letwin, in 10 Downing Street and the Cabinet Office from 2010 to 2016, latterly as Head of Operations.
She was awarded an MBE in 2016 for political and public service. Martha works part-time for the organisation. She also works as the Coordinator for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases, working with cross-party Parliamentarians to raise the profile of malaria and NTDs within the UK Parliament, and champion solutions and tools to prevent, treat, control, and eliminate them.
