Emma is a communications and campaigns specialist, combining experience as a journalist and editor on national publications with working in busy press offices in the UK.

As Oxfam’s PR Lead, she developed a strategic stream of content to position the charity as the country’s leading voice on sustainable fashion. She steered the inaugural Second Hand September, now a major annual Oxfam campaign. And she created and staged Fashion Fighting Poverty, Oxfam’s London Fashion Week shows, the most recent of which opened London Fashion Week in February 2023.

Throughout her career, Emma has demonstrated a consistent interest in human behaviour, overseas aid, and development. Studying Anthropology and Development as a postgraduate at SOAS preceded a career as a journalist writing and editing health stories and acting as a media consultant. At Oxfam she travelled extensively, meeting refugees in camps in Jordan and Greece, farmers in Zimbabwe, traders in Senegal and earthquake survivors in Nepal, collaborating to tell their stories, shining a light on the need for support and its impact.
